West Ham United have bid accepted for Barcelona target
West Ham United have had a £29 million plus add-ons bid accepted for Maxi Gomez according to Sky Sports. The same report suggests Valencia have also had a similar bid agreed for the striker with Celta Vigo.
The Hammers were keen on signing him in January as well but the striker was not looking to leave. The Uruguayan striker is in demand this summer and earlier reports linked Barcelona and Liverpool with a move for him as well. He has a £50 million release clause but the Spanish side are ready to sell him for a little less.
The Hammers have already Pablo Fornals from Villarreal for £24 million and are looking to bolster their squad ever more with some LaLiga players. Apart from Gomez, the London side are also looking at Real Betis’ Victor Camarasa who spent the 2018/19 season at Cardiff City.
