Real Madrid join Manchester United and Barcelona in race for forward

Real Madrid are reportedly the latest club to join the pursuit of Arsenal forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, as maintained by Sport.

With the Gabon international heading into the final 12 months of his contract, Los Blancos, alongside the likes of Manchester United and Barcelona, view this as a tremendous opportunity to sign the serial goalscorer.

Aubameyang has proven to be a torchbearer for Arsenal ever since joining from Borussia Dortmund, but the lack of silverware and repeated metamorphosis within the club seems to have fuelled his decision to depart.

The 30-year-old has shown no signs of renewing his current deal thus far, thereby generating major interest from the big clubs.

United have expressed their interest in the striker, while Barcelona view him as an ideal alternative for longstanding target Lautaro Martinez. Apparently, he has also been approached by Inter and PSG.

However, the latest team to join the race is Real Madrid, who were linked to the striker a few years back as well. Considering Luka Jovic’s struggles this season, Aubameyang could spark the firing line for Zidane’s charges should he arrive at the Bernabeu.

Owing to such tremendous transfer interest, the Gunners could be forced to selling their superstar forward before he leaves on free, for sure. They’ll have a gaping hole to fill within their ranks.
