Napoli news: Carlo Ancelotti has been sacked by Napoli, minutes after his side secured a place in the Round of 16 of the Champions League. The former Chelsea and Real Madrid revealed that he won’t be resigning despite the pressure from the Napoli president.
Gennaro Gattuso will be appointed the next Napoli manager as per Fabrizio Romano. The Italian journalist has claimed that the former AC Milan manager has already agreed a deal with the Naples side.
Ancelotti has been linked with the vacant position at Arsenal but no talks were held so far. He was not even in the running until today as Mikel Arteta, Marcelino and Niko Kovac were the final 3 candidates Arsenal decided on.
However, Di Mario reported earlier today that the former Chelsea manager was in the running after reports of his possible sacking by Napoli emerged.
Arsenal will now have to act swiftly as the Telegraph have linked Ancelotti with the vacant job at Everton too. The Italian is in high demand and will likely choose the project that suits him.
