Marco Reus urges Jadon Sancho to stay at Borussia Dortmund
Borussia Dortmund superstar Marco Reus has urged his teammate Jadon Sancho to ignore the ongoing rumours and remain at the Signal Iduna Park for at least a year or two. The BVB skipper believes that it is best for Sancho to stay put before launching his big move.
Sancho has been part of the back pages of publications all around the globe, having attracted immense interest from the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea.
The 20-year-old has taken the Bundesliga by storm this season with 14 goals and 15 assists from just 21 starts. Perhaps, no other youngster has exhibited that degree of excellence, and that’s what makes Sancho a special prospect.
The former Manchester City man is also open to moving back to England, but his captain believes he must stay for a couple of years to hone his skills further.
Speaking to Sport Bild, Reus opined:
“He should stay one more, maybe two years at Dortmund. In my view, there is currently nothing better for him. [Then he can] take the really big step. As an even more complete player who can continue to develop with us as a regular in the team.”
The extent of speculation over Sancho’s probable transfer shows very little of what could be the end result. But as of now, United are supposedly leading the race.
