Manchester United are on the transfer warpath once more, or so claims French daily Le Progres, who have stated that the English giants are in pursuit of Nabil Fekir.
“For Nabil, offers are not lacking. The latest comes from Manchester United,” suggests the report.
Fekir, who was an absolute revelation for Lyon last season – scoring 18 times, and providing 8 assists in just 28 games in Ligue 1 and playing with a sense of flair and adventure that the Old Trafford faithful have been craving for quite some time now.
Le Progres also detail out how Fekir’s much-hyped move to Liverpool broke down, and it’s not due to a failed medical or so they claim:
“Liverpool decided to lower the price for Nabil by €5m (£4.43m), hiding behind a cartilage problem of the player’s knee, which was an old story and is not at all preventing him from playing in the World Cup.”
If Ed Woodward seals this deal, he’ll see it as another feather in the cap; while more pertinently, Jose Mourinho will have the services of a skilful – yet combative – attacking midfielder who can change the dynamic of a game with one swoosh of his left foot.
