Manchester United lining up move for LaLiga star

As per reports from AS, Manchester United are weighing up a move for Real Valladolid’s standout performer Mohammed Salisu.

The 21-year-old has been phenomenal in the LaLiga this season, as it’s Valladolid’s defensive rigidity that has kept the club away from the relegation zone.

Salisu is tall, sturdy and an excellent reader of the game; an aspect in particular, that has stirred widespread interest from the likes of Atletico and Real Madrid.

It now seems as though Manchester United are ready to cash in too, as hinted by club star Juan Mata’s father. Sr. Mata had earlier said:

“Salisu is another very young African discovery. This year he has been a sensation in LaLiga because at only 20 years old, 1.90m, left-footed, and playing centre back in this division is not easy. The truth is that I think this may be his window, because interests have arisen from many clubs, and he deserves it.”

The Ghanaian’s promise makes him an ideal long-term target, and for his credentials, an asking price of just €12 million is a minuscule sum.

As clubs explore the possibility of signing him, Real Valladolid are supposedly convincing him to extend his stay. But, it is going to be far from easy with mammoth-sized teams such as Madrid and United knocking.
