Manchester United set deadline for Romelu Lukaku transfer
Inter Milan have been given a seven-day deadline by Manchester United for the transfer of Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku. Inter now only have a week left to complete the deal for their target.
The British transfer window closes before the start of the Premier League campaign on August. While for Inter the transfer window will close on 31st August.
The Red Devils have set this deadline as they understand for any departing player they will need time to replace him. Though Lukaku has not been a regular under Solakjaer, but he is still an important player for them.
The major stumbling block in Inter’s pursuit for Lukaku has been United £75million asking price for the former Chelsea striker. The Nerazzurri already have seen two bids rejected for Lukaku.
Antonio Conte is desperate to bring the big Belgian to the San Siro and the former Everton forward wants the move to happen. He has already revealed that he sees Conte as the best manager in the world and his desire to one day play in the Serie A.
Lukaku wants to quit Old Trafford as he sees himself behind Marcus Rashford in the starting line up. While Inter hoping to finance to deal by selling Mauro Icardi. Juventus and Napoli have shown interest in him, but none of the teams have approached for a deal.
