Leicester City keen to poach Liverpool star as Brendan Rodgers eyes reunion

Leicester City are weighing up a move for Liverpool star Adam Lallana, according to local outlet Leicester Mercury. He is reportedly garnering immense transfer interest as Brendan Rodgers wishes to reunite with his former Liverpool colleague.

Rodgers and Lallana worked together when the former was in charge of the Merseysiders between 2012 and 2015.

With Lallana’s contract due to expire at the end of the season, Liverpool already well-stacked in their midfield ranks and the Englishman’s age factor, it looks certain that his time at Anfield is coming to an end.

He was linked with the Foxes back in February, and Rodgers’ description of him as a ‘wonderful player’ sparked further speculation in the process. And now, Leicester are purportedly aiming to bolster their options with his experience.

The industry and craft Lallana offers at the center of the park would add value to any side, more so because he would be available for free in an inflated market that has been scarred by the COVID-19 pandemic.
