Juventus lining up move for Tottenham star

According to Corriere dello Sport, Juventus are ready to cash in for Tottenham Hotspur talisman Harry Kane as they aim to replace the rebellious Gonzalo Higuain.

The Old Lady squad is preparing for a return to training after a 14-day isolation period, but Higuain is hesitant to return as he chooses to look after his mother – who is beset with cancer, and remain in quarantine himself as well.

Meanwhile, Kane recently shed light on his Spurs future:

“I’ll always love Spurs, but it’s one of them things. I’ve always said if I don’t feel like we’re progressing as a team or going in the right direction, I’m not someone to stay there just for the sake of it.”

“I’m an ambitious player, I want to improve and become better. I want to become a top, top player, so it all depends on what happens as a team and how we progress as a team. So, it’s not a definite ‘I’m going to stay there forever’ but it’s not a no either.”

Manchester United and Real Madrid have been long-linked with the sharpshooter, but reports emerged yesterday suggesting that the latter have dropped out of the equation.

That led to the admission of Juventus, who will have to fight toe-to-toe with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and company.

They’d view this as a fantastic opportunity to replace 32-year-old Higuain with a lethal marksman who scores goals for fun. Kane, having expressed his desire to progress and win trophies, may well find a perfect fit in the form of the Serie A champions.
