Chelsea keen on signing Barcelona star

Chelsea are hoping to lure Marc-André ter Stegen to the English capital as the current Blues boss is looking for a shot-stopper to replace the under-fire keeper Kepa Arrizabalaga according to ESPN.

Since signing from Borussia Monchengladbach in 2014, he has emerged to be one of the best keepers in Europe as he went on to win the Champions League in 2015 and has garnered interest from top clubs.

Both the clubs have acknowledged that it would be difficult to lure the German from Barcelona but the English side has kept hopes in securing his signature in case he rejects the contract extension.

Marc-André ter Stegen on Inter Milan radar

According to ESPN, the London outfit face stiff competition from Inter Milan as Antonio Conte’s side prepares to replace their long term keeper Samir Handanovic who will be 37 when his deal ends in 2021.

Marc-André ter Stegen has 2 years left in his contract and Frank Lampard hopes to strengthen his side after securing the signature of Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech.
