Everton have informed Crystal Palace that they are ready to make a move for their talisman Wilfried Zaha. The Toffees are prepared to offer £60m plus Cenk Tosun for the Ivorian international as per the report.
However, there could be a twist in the tale, as Chelsea are also prepared to make a move for Zaha after their transfer ban is lifted. The Blues are currently under a two transfer window transfer ban and cannot register new players for the upcoming season.
If Everton are unable to convince Palace to part aways with their prized asset this summer, it is highly likely that he could join Chelsea next summer. As for Zaha, earlier in the transfer window, he wanted to move to Arsenal, but the Gunners failed to meet Palace’s asking price.
For Palace, it would be great, as they will be able to keep hold of Zaha for one more season. Also, Chelsea’s interest in Zaha could also help them to bring Michy Batshuayi to Selhurst Park next season.
Everton are a stronger side than Palace and have finished above them in the table every time. The Toffees are building a strong team and are looking to challenge for a top 6 place soon.
However, a move to Chelsea will be more tempting for Zaha has European Football and a chance top challenge for the trophies is guaranteed at Stamford Bridge.
The former Manchester United winger is only 26 and he should be a good addition to Chelsea’s squad. Both Pedro and Willian are in their 30’s and not getting any better. While Zaha is about hit his peak and would be an excellent replacement for any of the two.

Telegraph’s Matt Law is reporting the news and he is a very reliable source. Everton are looking to build a team that can challenge for a top 6 place and with the possible sale of Idrissa Gueye to PSG, they will have the funds for the Zaha deal.
Chelsea were reportedly interested in Zaha in January as well and rumours suggest the loan deal for Batshuayi was related to it.
