Barcelona set to splash the cash for their rebuilding project
La Liga giants FC Barcelona are looking to build an ambitious and exciting project with plans already underway for the summer transfer window.
The Catalans were on the verge of crisis when club legend Lionel Messi announced his intention to leave the club after he publicly criticized then-president Josep Bartomeu following the 8-2 loss at the hands of Bayern Munich although the Argentine winger reversed his decision.
Eventually, Barca appointed their ex-defender Ronald Koeman as their manager and Bartomeu handed his resignation after facing intense backlash from the fans.
After the re-election of Joan Laporta, there are plenty of positives as the Blaugrana hope to land their targets despite lacking the financial muscle.
According to Marca, Koeman has targetted his compatriots Memphis Depay and Geroginio Wijnaldum from Lyon and Liverpool since his appointment. It is also expected that Eric Garcia is keen on returning to Barca after rejected a new deal from Man City.
Similarly, Erling Haaland has emerged as one of the targets after a impressive campaign with Dortmund. Sergio Aguero is also expected to move to Camp Nou after announcing his departure at the end of the season.
