Barcelona set eyes on Premier League star
Georginio Wijnaldum has emerged as one of the top targets for Barcelona ahead of the upcoming campaign as the Dutch midfielder could be departing from Liverpool.
The Blaugrana’s appointed their former player Ronald Koeman as the manager after sacking Quique Setien following a humiliation at the hands of Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
After securing the signature of Miralem Pjanic for 60 million Euros, Barca is in hopes of more crucial additions to the squad. Koeman is keen to add Wijnaldum and wants the club to do whatever it takes to land the Reds player.
The former Oranje boss recently quit the national side to take over at Camp Nou in hopes of reuniting with Frenkie De Jong believing the pair would make the same impact.
Georginio Wijnaldum joined Liverpool in 2016 and went to be a part of the squad that won the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup.
