Manchester United star set to stay at Old Trafford
Manchester United flop Alexis Sanchez is reportedly set to rejoin his parent post the ongoing season in order to avoid chopping of his weekly wages, according to ESPN.
His representatives and current employers Inter Milan are ready to make his move permanent, but it is understood that he is reluctant to do so in order to keep up his hefty salary that measures £500,000-a-week.
The Chilean moved to Manchester United in January 2018, but floundered repeatedly, netting just five in 45 appearances for them. Despite witnessing a lengthy spell on the sidelines, Antonio Conte and co. are willing to sign him up permanently, albeit by paying only a major portion and not his entire salary.
Sanchez has two years remaining on his current deal, and with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer expected to bolster the quality in his squad, the former Barcelona and Arsenal winger may have to be content with warming the bench owing to his dire form over the past couple of years.
He has recorded just one goal in 15 appearances for Inter.
